Joerg Mommertz has joined MAN Trucks India as Chairman & Managing Director with effect from 01.10.2016. He has around 36 years of diversified management experience. MAN Trucks India Pvt.Ltd.
Joerg Mommertz began his career at MAN in 1991 as Service Manager and has held several management positions in Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland and Denmark. In his last assignment, he was Managing Director for MAN Trucks & Bus Russia.
“There is a strong focus by MAN Group in India and I believe that I will be able to facilitate and nurture MAN Trucks India with most dynamic market focus on economic transport solutions. We will also continue to develop a strong and professional network offering customers a wide product range, service and business solutions“ says Mr. Mommertz about his new role in India.

MAN Trucks India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with India’s premier commercial bank – Canara Bank for offering commercial vehicle loans to its customers. With this MOU, Canara Bank becomes a preferred financier for MAN Trucks in India.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Jagadish Bhat, Chairman & Managing Director, MAN Trucks India and Mr. R Madhusudan, GM – MSME Wing, Canara Bank. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Somasundaram, National Sales Head, MAN Trucks India and Mr. C G Saha, DGM – MSME Wing, Canara Bank.
Canara Bank caters to around 6.75 Crore customers through their pan India network of 5708 branches , with 49 SME Sulabhs and 162 SME branches dedicated to MSME sector. MAN Trucks India’s extensive products range complements the construction & transport requirements of MSME Sector.
Announcing the partnership, Mr. Jagadish Bhat, Chairman & MD, MAN Trucks India, said “This MOU will give MAN Trucks India access to the vast network & expertise of Canara Bank. Customers of Canara Bank can also look forward to MAN Trucks unmatched expertise in providing solutions to their construction & bulk transport needs.”
